Though we managed to register a win, it wasn't a convincing one, which we should have won easily.
We were short by at least 30-40 runs, and thanks to few bad decisions and to add to that some bad run outs.
India started in a convincing fashion despit losing Sachin tendulkar once again to bad decision by Umpire. The ball wad definitely gong down the leg side. However, Sachin was guilty of closing the face of the bat little too early.
Sehwag and Gambhir once again shown, what great match they are when they play together. They complimented each other quiet well, with some intelligent running between the wickets. Sehwag in particular looked to be in supreme touch before getting run out.
Gambhir followed soon after to a a descent delivery from Pervez mahroof, who bowled brilliantly with some good variations.
India once again played Ajantha Medis quiet well, including Yuvrajsingh who hit the former for a Six over Covers.
However, on the bowling front India definitely could have bowled better. Especially Ishant, who was guilty of bowling way too many wides and length bowls in the death overs. Thought, he came back strongly by taking some crucial wickets at the death.
I am very sure Dhoni would not be complacent for the series.
